What our clients say about us

On a Tablet

Client, LG

Anne helped me through a really tough and turbulent time in my life. Working with her gave me the confidence and stability I’d been missing, and for the first time, I started to see how parts of my past were holding me back.

In the Woods

Client, DB

At a very difficult time in my life I was advised to speak to Anne.  She listened but didn’t judge.  Instead she helped me to recognise and rationalise my feelings.  I felt she had empathy and a clear understanding of me as a person.  My time with her enabled me to move forward with a greater understanding of myself and my challenges. It gave me the emotional strength to address them with confidence.

Looking at the River

Client, C

I was feeling lost and overwhelmed, but Alex helped me navigate my emotions with kindness and patience. Her support has given me hope, and I now have the tools to manage my mental health in a way I never thought possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are the therapists at VIVA? Every therapist providing services on VIVA Therapy is a qualified and experienced counsellor or psychotherapist. All of our therapists are also registered with a professional association for members of the counselling profession in the UK, such as the BACP or NCPS.

What happens after I sign up? After you sign up with us for therapy, we will match you to an available therapist who we believe would be a good fit for you and for your goals for therapy. If you don't feel you click with your therapist, that's okay, just let us know and we can place you with a different therapist. We know at VIVA that feeling you're with the right therapist is one of the most important things for therapy to be effective, so we want to get that right for you.

Is VIVA Therapy right for me? VIVA Therapy may be right for you if you're looking to feel better in your life. Where there is anything getting in the way of that, we may be able to help. We have therapists who specialise in specific issues such as stress, anxiety, relationships, parenting, depression, trauma, anger, family conflicts, LGBT matters, grief, self esteem, and more. VIVA Therapy is not the right solution for you if any of the following is true: - You are under 18 years of age - You are in an urgent crisis situation - You are required to have therapy by a court order

How much will therapy cost? The cost of therapy through VIVA Therapy ranges from £60 per week for individual therapy (£70 with Anne Lewis) and £95 per session for couples therapy (payable before your session or invoiced for the month ahead if you prefer), and is dependent on therapist availability. You can cancel your therapy at any time, for any reason.

How will I communicate with my therapist? You can have therapy in two ways at VIVA: 1. Online sessions with your therapist 2. Speaking over the phone with your therapist You can use different ways at different times as you wish, based on your needs, availability, and convenience. You and your therapist can come up with a plan that works for you.

Is online therapy as good as in person? Yes, the therapists who work through VIVA Therapy are fully qualified, registered, and experienced therapists. All the studies show that online therapy is as good as in person therapy. If you're unsure about having online therapy, we invite you to try it out and see how you feel. Get in touch by email hello@vivatherapy.co.uk and let us know if you would like to have an introductory session.

How long will I have therapy for? You can come for as long as you find therapy helpful—some people find 6-10 sessions enough, while others prefer longer term therapy to continue to work on things, or where they want to continue therapy beyond dealing with the initial issue as they find it helpful in their lives––they might then move to fortnightly over a longer period. It’s your therapy, so it will be very much up to you, and what you want and need. And it's always okay to end therapy, or to take a break, and come back to it if or when you're ready to do more.
